Random July Pictures...

Just a few random pictures, we were at the Shedd Aquarium and then Millennium Park, Chicago.

I took this one at the Crown Fountain - Millennium Park. You will find that if you click on the pictures, sometimes, they look better. So go ahead, click each one of them, I promise they won't bite back. Although I might be *slightly* biased considering these are my pictures...!

The trees form kind of a nice archway, alluring us to stroll right through...



I found the lights below geometrically very inviting, and since I didn't have a better thing to do at that moment, I took the picture.



This is just a step! There needn't be any meaning to every picture someone takes, you know...

Weekend @ Indiana Dunes

This long weekend, we went to Indiana Dunes for some getaway. It was hot as hell, but clear, blue sky. You would think that the water would be nice and warm, right? WRONG! It was cold, and I am talking cold as in when your wife says "We need to talk" cold...

Anyways, so we went in water. Now I am thinking, being an Indian, I don't need to worry about sun burn, and all that crap; I mean, com'on. "We" don't get sun burn. I had my sun-screen spray, but it was ALL the way where we were sitting, and I was ALL the way in the water. Call me lazy but I ain't going back just to get sprayed. Umm, well, I should have, but that's another story.

Anyways, Ashna had a LOT of fun in water. She didn't want to come out. Here's a sample:



While my wife did join us in the water for a bit, Ani needed her attention more. Both were happy watching us from the shore...



All in all we had a great time, barring my screams every time I moved my hands thanks to sunburn...

DoF

I have been waiting to get a chance to play around with DoF. Now if you are a REAL photographer, you can do that every day, every minute, but I am only as smart as I look and so; I had to wait! (I was going to use "stupid", but then, this is MY blog so I switched the word!)

Now when you take a picture, you can choose to have the background in focus, but there are times when you don't want to. It really depends on what you are trying to say through the picture.



The above is a bit non-conventional, and so, I like it.
